The German Shepherd Dog Club of India, affiliated to the World Union of German Shepherd Dog Clubs, Germany (WUSV) and the Kennel Club of India and Coimbatore Chapter of the GSD Club, is organising the 11th Indian Sieger Show on the SNR Sons College of Arts and Science Grounds here on January 24 and 25.

According to D. Krishnamurthy, Secretary of GSDCI-Coimbatore Chapter, the show is conducted once a year on an all India basis exclusively for the German Shepherd dogs (GSD).

The previous 10 seiger shows were conducted in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and other cities.

This time Coimbatore is hosting the show and the organisers expect more than 250 dogs from all over India and abroad to take part. Judges are from Germany, Dr.Wolfgang Louber and Peter Arch.

The dogs will be judged under various age classifications like baby, puppy, youth, young and open class. One of the special elements of the seiger show is the judging group – namely Progeny Group and Kennel Group. There will be a seminar on German Shepherd dogs on January 26.
